THE WIZ made its stage debut in 1974 in Baltimore, after which it moved to the Majestic Theatre on Broadway where it ran for a mind-blowing 1,672 performances. THE WIZ brought down the house and shook up the critics, earning no less than seven Tony Awards, five Drama Desk Awards, and two Theatre World Awards.
