Orpheum Theatre
A special showcasing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show is going to be taking place on Wednesday, September 24th! This year marks the 50th anniversary of the film, and since it's become such a cult classic, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community, the production company and the stars of the film want to celebrate the occasion with the fans. You don't have to head to one of these screenings to join in on the fun, as the movie will be remastered and re-released.
Now, if you want to be a part of something even more special, then you do need to be at the Orpheum Theatre in Omaha on Wednesday, September 24th. They will not only be showing the film on a massive screen, but you'll also get a chance to interact with one of its stars. It's not every day that a cult classic film turns 50. Knowing this, you really should take advantage of the opportunity to treat this like a party! There are going to be plenty of people dressing up like their favorite characters from the film to enjoy this experience. Oddly enough, the Rocky Horror Show was one of the first movies to spark this phenomenon of dressing up like the characters. This happened when the film was still in theaters in midnight showings. A sense of PRIDE really developed around the Rocky Horror Show, and it's certainly one of the reasons why it's remembered so fondly.
