Derek Hough’s brand new trek is just around the corner, and we can’t wait! Derek Hough — Symphony of Dance: Encore arrives after his celebrated 2023-2024 Symphony of Dance showcase and is gearing up to be his best live show yet. The trek starts on the 24th of June in El Cajon, California, and finishes on the 16th of August in Las Vegas. On the trek, the star will stop in major North American cities, such as Denver, St. Louis, Boston, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, and Hollywood.

As the last show was such a hit, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo (known as NappyTabs) are reprising their roles as creative director and choreographer. 

According to Hough’s official website, the performance promises “fresh, high-energy choreography, breathtaking stage design, and Derek’s signature showmanship.” It is going to blend ballroom, tap, salsa, and hip hop.

About Derek Hough 

Derek Hough is an iconic Latin and ballroom dancer, who also wears the hat of choreographer, actor, singer, and television personality. He made an epic appearance in 2007 when he became a pro dancer on the popular ABC dance competition show Dancing with the Stars. The dancer appeared on the popular show until 2016, and scored a record-breaking six wins with his celebrity partners. For his outstanding work, the dance legend has gained a staggering 14 nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, bagging the award an impressive 4 times. Derek Hough is so skilled that he became a judge on the popular show beginning with its famous 29th season.

Derek Hough’s skillmanship doesn’t stop there. The dance icon has also starred as an actor on stage with the West End premiere of “Footloose: The Musical” at the Novello Theatre as well as the “New York Spring Spectacular” at the esteemed Radio City Music Hall in NYC in 2015. The entertainment heavwieght also appeared in the well known movie Make Your Move and had a recurring role in the ABC hit musical-drama Nashville.
