ABOUT JOHN BEASLEY

Emerging in the early 90s, John Beasley from Louisana has played his way into becoming one of the most influential and highly praised jazz pianist in the industry. The 66 year old musician comes from a family of musicians, with his parents being accomplished instrumentalists. Beasley creates music and publishes his work as a solo artist, but he also produces and composes music for film and television. He has earned a total of eight Grammy nominations, and won two Grammy Awards. He won his first Grammy Award for his track, “Donna Lee.”  His album Returning to Forever released a Grammy nomination for Best Large Ensemble Album while his El Trio received a nomination for Best Latin Album. Los Angeles Times mentioned, “his playing reflects a variety of generational influences.” He was compared to great jazz musicians like Herbie Hancock, Monk, and Art Tatum.
