This is not something that you see every day. Usually, these shows that are widely successful in their first runs on Broadway plan to stay in New York for a long time. However, The Outsiders are trying a different strategy, much to the delight of the fans. In many ways, people here in Omaha are going to be able to connect with the story in a way that the "big city" folks just can't. It makes this small season of The Outsiders here at the Orpheum Theatre all the more special. 

Will Brody Grant Reprise His Role as Ponyboy Curtis?    

There's no question that a big contributing factor to the success of this play on Broadway has been Brody Grant's portrayal of Ponyboy Curtis. However, in some of the final months of the show's run in NYC, Brody Grant was notably absent from the play. At the time Brody cited some personal reasons for his abscene. At the end of day, people understand that when you've been doing the same thing daily for 2 years straight you can burn out! Hopefully, Brody Grant will be able to get his situation sorted out so that he can go on tour with The Outsiders. At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation on whether he'll reprise his role. Signs are looking good though!

If you want to find a good spot to witness The Outsiders, you'll want to follow some of the unwritten Broadway rules that expert always talk about. The seats right next to the stage might not be ideal because you'll be looking up at the actors. In these cases, the best seats are a few rows back, maybe even in an elevated position. Try to find something toward the middle of the theater. That's where you'll have the best perspective of the entire show.
